TEMCA supports culture during the Corona pandemic and has therefore been the official sponsor of the Theater Altenburg/Gera since October 2020. With this financial contribution the Central German company wants to contribute to the preservation of the cultural center. Thomas Bruger, Managing Director of TEMCA GmbH & Co. KG, is deliberately following this path, because “as the last five-section theater in the Free State of Thüringen with producing ensembles, Theater Altenburg/Gera is something very special and important for the region.
Created from the merger of the State Theater of Thuringia and the stages of the city of Gera in 1955, the theater is also the most visited theater in the state with 145,000 visitors annually. In regular operation, the Theater Altenburg/Gera offers year-round programs of opera, musical and operetta, drama, concerts, puppet theaters, experimental productions and sophisticated dance productions of the Thüringer Staatsballetts. There are currently no public events, but the theatre is scheduled to resume operations on December 20.
